There is no shortage of dragon merchandise on the internet.
Finding a gift that actually feels like Fourth Wing—and not something that could just as easily belong to any fantasy series with wings and fire—is a little harder.
So we went looking for pieces that go deeper into the Empyrean world: Basgiath references, familiar dragons, details pulled from Violet’s story, and a few things that bring the books themselves to life. We also prioritized officially licensed merchandise and independent makers creating things interesting enough to earn a place on the list.
The result ranges from a $12 page overlay to handmade shelf art, jewelry, and a special edition of the book that may convince someone who already owns Fourth Wing that they need to own it again.
Prices and availability were accurate when we published this guide, but merchandise changes. We’ll update links when we spot something that’s disappeared.

BEST GIFT FOR SOMEONE WHO ALREADY OWNS THE BOOK
Fourth Wing Special Edition
Yes, they already own Fourth Wing. That’s not really the point.
AcryliPics has taken the first Empyrean novel and turned it into the sort of edition that makes perfectly rational book people decide they need another copy. The officially licensed version pairs a redesigned, foil-detailed dust jacket with decorative printed edges and seven full-color illustrated overlays tucked among the pages.
Those overlays are what really sold us. Instead of replacing Rebecca Yarros’s text with an illustrated adaptation, translucent artwork is layered over selected pages, letting scenes and characters appear right inside the book. It’s part novel, part art object, and considerably more fun to unwrap than another dragon mug.
And because this is an actual copy of Fourth Wing, there’s no need to know someone’s ring size, sweatshirt size, or whether they have room in their house for another enormous dragon.
They’ve already made room on the shelf once. We have faith they can do it again.

BEST FOR TAKING BASGIATH TO GO
Basgiath Toile Insulated Tumbler
If you have to carry a giant insulated cup everywhere anyway, it might as well have dragons on it.
Out of Print’s officially licensed tumbler uses a surprisingly elegant toile-style pattern filled with imagery from the world of Fourth Wing. From a distance, it looks almost like traditional blue-and-white toile. Get closer, and things become considerably more Basgiath.
The 20-ounce stainless-steel tumbler is vacuum insulated and comes with a lid and reusable straw, so this one earns points for being something a fan might actually use every day. And unlike a cup with a giant book title printed across it, the pattern is subtle enough that it doesn’t immediately read as merchandise.
Basically, it’s fandom camouflage—with a straw.

BEST WAY TO PUT BASGIATH ON THE BOOKSHELF
Fourth Wing Book Nook
This is what happens when a bookshelf decoration decides it would rather be a tiny portal into Basgiath.
Iridescent Fairytale’s officially licensed book nook slips between your books and creates a miniature scene of Tairn, Andarna, and Sgaeyl flying above the war college. Built-in lighting illuminates the layered artwork from within, giving the whole thing considerably more depth than you’d expect from something occupying roughly the space of one particularly chunky fantasy novel.
We especially like that it doesn’t rely on quotes or logos to tell you what it is. If you’ve read Fourth Wing, three very particular dragons circling Basgiath are doing plenty of explaining already.
And when it’s tucked between the books that introduced you to them in the first place, it feels less like displaying merchandise and more like leaving a little door into the story open.

BEST LITTLE UPGRADE FOR THE BOOK
Violet and the Dragons Page Overlay
If buying someone an entirely new edition of Fourth Wing feels excessive, here’s the $12 version of the idea.
This officially licensed page overlay from Iridescent Fairytale is printed on a translucent sheet designed to slip directly into a standard copy of the book. The illustration adds Violet alongside Tairn and Andarna to the page while allowing the original text beneath it to remain part of the design.
It’s a clever way to turn a favorite scene into artwork without permanently altering the book—and considerably easier than explaining why you’ve purchased someone a second copy of a novel they already own.
At $11.99, it’s also one of those rare fandom gifts that’s inexpensive without looking like something you grabbed from the impulse-buy bin.

BEST CANDLE WITH AN ACTUAL REASON TO EXIST
Violet’s Armor Candle
Book-inspired candles are everywhere. At some point, the internet collectively decided that every fictional character needed an official scent.
This one, however, has an idea behind it.
From the Page based its officially licensed Violet’s Armor candle on the dragon-scale armor Violet wears at Basgiath, combining scents of leather, violet, and spice. Leather makes perfect sense for the armor, violet gives us a clever nod to its wearer, and spice keeps the whole thing from smelling like someone simply emptied a florist into a candle jar.
It’s a specific enough reference to delight someone who knows exactly why Violet needs that armor, while still being a perfectly usable gift for a person who doesn’t need another object occupying permanent shelf space.
We still don’t know what most fictional men smell like. We’re comfortable leaving that mystery unsolved.

BEST FOR HOLDING UP THE REQUIRED READING
“You Want a Dragon? Earn One!” Bookends
At Basgiath, apparently even wanting a dragon requires proving yourself first. Fortunately, acquiring the bookends is considerably less dangerous.
This officially licensed handmade set from Nytefall Studios splits “You Want a Dragon?” and “Earn One!” across two resin bookends, with dragon silhouettes and Basgiath-inspired imagery set against a marbled background. Because they’re handmade, the exact pattern varies slightly from set to set—which we much prefer to something that looks like it rolled off an enormous merchandise assembly line.
They’re also exactly where Fourth Wing bookends belong: holding up the increasingly substantial collection of books you needed them for in the first place.
No parapet crossing required. Which, having looked into what happens at Basgiath, we consider a significant selling point.

BEST TINY DRAGONS
Tairn & Andarna Dragon Figurines
It turns out that painting one dragon black and another gold isn’t quite enough to make them Tairn and Andarna.
These officially licensed little dragons from Starborn Hollow pay attention to the details that matter to Fourth Wing readers, including the dragons’ distinctive coloring and tail types. Tairn gets his enormous black-dragon presence condensed into a considerably more bookshelf-friendly size, while tiny golden Andarna is appropriately much harder to resist.
They’re small, inexpensive, and just specific enough that someone unfamiliar with the books will see a pair of fantasy dragons while a fan will know exactly who has landed on the shelf.
Admittedly, Tairn might object to being described as adorable. We’re willing to take that risk.
Where to find them: Starborn Hollow on Etsy
Price: Starting at $9.99 when we checked

BEST FOR THE WORLD’S MOST DANGEROUS BOOK CLUB
Basgiath Book Club Enamel Pin
Calling Basgiath War College a “book club” is doing an impressive amount of work here.
Out of Print’s officially licensed enamel pin gives the notoriously lethal military academy a much more civilized identity, with Basgiath Book Club worked into a small brass-and-enamel design. It’s the sort of reference another Fourth Wing reader can spot immediately, while everyone else may simply assume you belong to an unusually intense reading group.
At $13, it’s also an easy little gift, stocking stuffer, or add-on for someone who doesn’t need another large piece of fandom merchandise occupying their house.
Although if your actual book club has a survival rate comparable to Basgiath’s, we’d probably start looking for a new one.

BEST FOR CURLING UP WITH THE NEXT 600-PAGE EMOTIONAL CRISIS
Violet’s Relic Blanket
There are dragon blankets, and then there’s a blanket covered with a dragon design that Fourth Wing readers actually have a reason to recognize.
This officially licensed throw from A Touch of Magic Designs takes its inspiration from Violet’s relic, one of the more visually distinctive marks she carries after bonding with her dragons. We won’t explain exactly how or why it appears—because giving someone a blanket shouldn’t also require giving them spoilers.
At 50 by 60 inches, it’s big enough for the job that matters most: curling up with whichever enormous Empyrean novel is currently causing emotional distress.
And unlike a blanket plastered with character portraits or the book cover, this one can live on the couch without making the couch look like it has a BookTok account.
Where to find it: A Touch of Magic Designs
Price: $55 when we checked

BEST SCHOOL SPIRIT FOR A SCHOOL YOU SHOULD NOT ATTEND
Basgiath War College Apparel
Plenty of people wear sweatshirts from colleges they never attended. This may be the first time that’s unquestionably the safer choice.
Caffeine & Curses makes officially licensed Basgiath War College shirts and sweatshirts styled more like university apparel than traditional book merchandise. That means no enormous character portrait, romantic quote, or dragon breathing fire across your entire torso—just the sort of school gear a rider might conceivably own if Basgiath had a campus bookstore.
It’s subtle, wearable, and instantly recognizable to another Empyrean reader without requiring everyone you encounter to know what Fourth Wing is.
Support the school. Skip the enrollment. Your odds of surviving the semester improve dramatically.

Price: T-shirts from $32.99; sweatshirts from $44.99 when we checked

BEST SECRET FOURTH WING REFERENCE
Andarna Dragon Wing Ring
At first glance, this is simply a delicate gold dragon-wing ring. The Fourth Wing part is hiding in very, very small print.
The Literary Charm’s officially licensed ring is made from sterling silver with 18K gold plating and wraps an intricately detailed dragon wing around the finger. Hidden on the piece is the phrase “Time flies with Andarna” in micro-engraving so tiny that you’ll need magnification to read it.
That’s exactly the sort of unnecessary little fandom detail we appreciate.
The ring is adjustable, which also makes it considerably easier to give as a gift than jewelry that requires casually interrogating someone about their ring size without arousing suspicion.
Everyone else sees a dragon wing. You know Andarna is keeping a secret. That’s more fun anyway.

BEST “WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?” FIND
Hand-Painted Tairn & Andarna Book Nook
We started with a special edition of Fourth Wing. We’re ending with something that looks like a little piece of it escaped onto the bookshelf.
Cryptid Creations Studio builds this officially licensed book nook by hand, creating a miniature mountain landscape filled with rocky terrain, vegetation, and sky. And then there are the dragons: a tiny Andarna tucked into the scene and a considerably less tiny Tairn spreading his wings above it.
At roughly 20 centimeters square, it’s substantial enough to be a real display piece, and because each one is hand-painted and made to order, it feels more like miniature fantasy art than conventional merchandise.
At £90, it’s unquestionably a splurge. But for the Fourth Wing fan whose shelves are already full of books, apparently the only logical next step is to start building Basgiath between them.

A Dragon and the Words “Fly or Die” Are Not Required
There’s nothing wrong with a good dragon T-shirt. But the best fandom finds tend to be the ones that get a little more specific.
A tiny Andarna, Violet’s relic, something that looks like it came from the Basgiath campus store, or artwork tucked right into the pages of the book says Fourth Wing without needing the title printed across it. And for the fans who do want the dragons front and center, at least give them Tairn’s actual tail.
Because if you’re going to survive the Riders Quadrant—even from the safety of your couch—you might need to get the details right.
